This is the second elephant that I have created. Piece measures approximately 30 1/2x23 1/2. How can I describe this piece other than SPECTACULAR. This is a wood cut out elephant. Elephant was filled by hand with a variety of pigments. Each section of the cutouts were not just filled in all at once but rather layered by hand. Some of the pigments used were also mixed with others to give the piece some bling and reflection. Some of the pigments used are orange, teal, red, purple, white, snow and gold. The bottom of the elephant was done in a sand technique and colors used are green, rust and gold metallic paints. The entire piece and pigments were mixed with resin. There is a minimum of five layers of resin. The frame is done with a black and silver foil, as well as the back. The back is also sealed but it was sealed by hand to keep the cost down. I do not supply the hardware due to not knowing the condition of buyers walls. The weight of this piece is 16 lbs. please note, I have no control over shipping.
